Dread Allah's Wrath

The following is based on scripture which should be previously read and studied at the site in the Holy Qur’an 34:12-21.

Give Thanks and Praises to Allah in the heavens and the Earth: how He orders the universe and creates man out of sounding clay— black stinking mud— while man is given to open rebellion and mundane triviality, ignoring Allah’s Holy Revelations. We regard this as duty. We do not desire to come up short in the balance. We want to obey Allah. We want to follow His Messengers. We recognize and appreciate many of His Divine Favors that He freely gives us.

“We are on various levels of Divine Recognition. We are all on various levels of Divine Obedience. We are all on various levels of understanding and comprehension.”

Islam is multi-dimensional. You cannot put it in a box and say you alone have all its contents. Islam won’t fit in a paper sack or a book that you read or write — all you get is a glimpse. You must say, “Oh, it could be just like that— maybe, God-willing.” Islam will keep you humble, because you will always be wanting more. You will always be trying to complete and perfect what you already have. And, circumstances and situations will always— in your life— be looming to see if you are grateful for what you already have. In this way it will be ascertained as to: do you need more? Are you ready for the next level? You will not be able to reply, “yes,” if in your heart there is no reception for more. See, your cup can be over-flowing with just that little bit that causes you to spin and turn on your axis.

This spiritual journey can be in your own back yard. You don’t have to go on miraj to Jerusalem or the seventh heaven. You may never get to Mecca to visit the house built by Ibrahim and his son Ishmael. You may never be able to leave the walls of a single masjid. All of your visitation could be in a hospital bed or an oxygen tent, except as Allah wills.

There’s nothing new under the sun. The ancient Egyptian Khepera dung beetle used to row dung around in such a away that a new birth appeared. The Phoenix bird rose from the ashes of decay. And, man is birthed from the womb of his mother. We live off of milk— a drink between the feces and the blood. Still, we may rise to new heights because we live in a world of reality— ruled by abstraction and allegorical precepts emerging from a spiritual world.

The mountains still repeat David’s praises. The iron is still obedient to David’s command. The birds still answer David’s call, and he is the pinnacle of Bani Israel’s rise to governmental and social distinction. David is loved by Allah. David cries to Allah. David’s praise to Allah is impeccable, sublime and beloved. What an amazing prophet and messenger! David’s coats of mail are still seen by Allah. Where are your coats of mail? What is a coat of mail? What does Allah allude to in this statement? In verse 11 of the surah called Saba, He says: “Surely I am seer of what you do.” Is that only for David and Bani Israel — and not for us today in modern day America, Detroit the motor city — or is that for all of us?

We are on various levels of Divine Recognition. We are all on various levels of Divine Obedience. We are all on various levels of understanding and comprehension. And, Allah has dominance and control of all these levels and the entire universe. He raises who He pleases and dismisses whoever He pleases. But, all come to Him wanting something — needing something: for we are incomplete creatures.

We seek purity. We seek Allah’s love. We seek Allah’s blessing. We seek Allah’s help. But, we are in a mundane triviality, rubbing up against the absurd. It’s like seeking a steak dinner on top of a pile of refuse.

But, as for now remember in the Qur’an where Allah says: “When you have performed your holy rites, then remember Allah, as you remember your forefathers or even with more intense remembrance--,” We used to boast of family names— though they were slave names, we took pride in them. We used to recall what great grandpappy did or what a rich uncle or a distant successful relative did to earn fame and fortune. Allah, however, has more right to be remembered and His blessings upon us have more right to be told, retold, and discussed at length. We should originate programs just for that. Call everybody out just to hear each other’s testimonies about Allah’s greatness working in our lives. In an age of ignorance, it is easy to forget or play down the blessings and greatness of Allah. It is easy for the ignorant to play down, minimize, and trivialize the Greatness and Mercy of Allah, because the ignorant are destined for doom.

Allah says: “And there are some men who say: Our Lord! Give us in this world— they shall have no portion in the world to come,” 2:200-201. When revelation is stalled due to human deficiency, when revelation is unimportant to the masses, when revelation is put on the back burner, or its taken for granted or its held as insignificant to current trappings which loan themselves to fixations of popular creature comfort or popular fame or renown, then you must know that the people of this condition are headed for dreaded doom.

It matters not that the security industry is a booming business. It matters not that mind games seem to work wonderfully for you. It matters not that you teach so many classes in survival that you give out certificates coded with secret-sacred mysteries that keep everybody in suspense. You may be the best person in math or writing. You may have all your wares prepared to go to market. You may observe Ancestor’s Day, Kwanzaa, Black History Month and you may own land in Africa, but Allah can allow you to cut out for yourself an Afrocentric doom just like he can allow you to make yourself an egocentric, a Jesus centric, or a Eurocentric doom. You cannot escape the fate that is sealed by time and date.

“The so-called Christian presentation of God and his Son to whom they bow and pray as a way to seduce the masses of the world into idolatry is a major part of the fall of the wicked who use Jesus’ good name to hide their dirty religion of bigotry, racism, white supremacy, gross materialism, and war-mongering.”
